SOUND OF MY DRUM

After thousands of years of being treated as less than human, a new generation of girls from the untouchable Dalit caste will take their power back through the voice of their pari drums and their hopes of winning the Dindigul National Drumming Competition. Their competitors are adult men who think it is disgraceful to compete with dalit girls. But as the girls train tirelessly and struggle with prejudice, they drum to be heard, they drum for their future, they drum to win.
